The soft-dome neodymium tweeters provide wide dispersion, producing a lively and spacious sound stage with smooth musicality, and a response extending well beyond human hearing.

The highly efficient 6-inch mid/bass drivers harness composite cones combining the natural acoustic finesse of paper with the strength of modern carbon- fibre technology. This produces ideal damping characteristics plus the coherence and timing essential to draw you into the music.

The awesome bass is rich, deep and firm

New crossovers were painstakingly designed with feedback from a large team of audio specialists across Australia to produce emotional vocals, an astonishingly vivid sound stage and a smooth blending of frequencies. The highly stable off-axis response means the Legends maintain realism in a wide spectrum of listening environments – because everyone’s listening room is different.

The cabinets have been completely redesigned using non-parallel panels to reduce standing waves, and the comprehensive bracing is positioned to minimise harmonics. Double thickness rear and front baffles and new high density damping makes these the most neutral and musical cabinets we have ever produced.
Do yourself a favour, just listen!

If you want to hear your music library like you have never heard it before, buy a pair of these. I have a Richter Mystique amplifier and currently an old Nakamichi CD Player 4. Beautiful sound no matter if it is Rammstein’s industrial metal music or Andrea Boccelli that you prefer. These speakers are great.

An amazing speaker. I have slowly “traded” up the line over the past 10 years going from party style wharfedales to db dynamics to triangle colors and now to the Dragons. I originally was looking at the wizards and visited DME HiFi at neutral bay for a listening session. Well I should have paid attention because I was warned do not listen to the dragons as you wont be able to make a choice.
    How right they were.
Everything to my ears sounds in place and where I believe it should be. Top end so that cymbals could be really heard and distinguished in the music but not so much that a snare drum became edgy on the ears. Mids were in place, not too forward and not sitting behind the wall – vocals did not overpower but seemed to stay put. Bass – phenomenal. Tight kick in the guts forget about a sub woofer type of bass. I couldn’t believe the guys at DME did not have a secret sub set up such was the presence. Don’t get me wrong, these are very refined – they are not a party speaker by any stretch of the imagination.
They are a speaker that if I could say to a company – please build me some speakers with . . . and . . . and . . . these are what they would end up with.
One of the most impressive things is that they handle any type of music thrown at them.
Everyone knows all speakers sound much better with Norah Jones or Adele. But throw some metallica or queensryche at them and they get found out. Many speakers tend to get sloppy, fall apart and want to pick up their bus ticket and go home. The Dragons stay composed, stand their ground and it’s almost like they to you “is that all you have ?”
I just finished playing Dark Side of the Moon – immersion box set – All I can say is wow !! Sit with the lights off for two reasons. Focus on the music and so nobody can see the silly grin on your face from experiencing the Dragons.
If you are looking to set up a good stereo with quality components or home theatre rig make sure you include these. You will not regret it.
By the way I am a Richter virgin – these are my first and I can assure you they won’t be my last.
